WHO WE ARE


Reach Out programme offers free and confidential support service for people in New Zealand concerned about someone they know who is engaging with or exhibiting concerning violent behaviour.

If you are worried about a friend, peer, or loved one’s  violent behaviour or opinions, please reach out. When you do, you’ll be connected to our experienced team of counsellors.

  • Reach out programme is for people in New Zealand concerned about the extreme or violent behaviour and views of a friend, peer, or loved one. This can include behaviour and views exhibited online or offline.

  • When you contact us, you will be connected with an experienced counsellor who will provide nonjudgmental support to address your needs.

  • When you reach out, you will speak to one of our counsellors. We have over 30 years of experience in providing support to New Zealanders exhibiting potentially violent behaviour. If you're concerned about someone you know, we can help out.

  • Yes, what you share with our staff is confidential. We maintain strict confidentiality standards. We cannot disclose information about you or what you tell us.

    However, if we suspect child abuse, or maltreatment or imminent danger to either yourself or others, we are legally obliged to take action to ensure public safety.

  • We are not connected with the Police. They will only be contacted if we become aware of an imminent threat to public safety.
